i was on my way to meet with a potential client. needless to say, i ended up having to reschedule. luckily noone was hurt. it was the front end of my 94 accord vs. the back end of an f150. the f150 only has scratches on the tailgate.
what happened you ask? well, the vehicle in front of the f150 stopped short, which made the f150 have to stop short to keep from hitting it, which made me “attempt” to stop short. you can see how that worked out for me.
luckily, my airbags did not deploy.
we all agreed that the person that caused the accident wasn’t involved in the accident.
from what i can tell, i’m looking at a hood, a light kit, a grille, and a radiator.
most important thing, noone was hurt.

Matt and Ellen (once friends of a friend, and now friends of mine) were nice enough to allow me to shoot their wedding for the experience. here are a few shots from their special day. thank you Matt and Ellen for allowing me to be a part of the day you both said “i do”.

just before his first birthday, Jonathan and I had a session in the park. he was just barely standing up, but he showed his Mom how well he could pose for the camera. thanks Melinda and Ty for allowing me to photograph your beautiful baby boy.

Charlotte and Gracie were my second appointment of the day. Gracie was a little sleepy, but she did a good job. Her Daddy was pleased with his surprise Father’s Day present. thank you Charlotte for allowing me to photograph you and your beautiful daughter. i look forward to our next session together.

when you are seen around town with a camera everywhere you go, people come to know you as a “photographer”. this leads to conversations with everyone from your local real estate agent, to your bank teller, about photographing them and and their children. what a wonderful self-reinforcing loop.
Grayson, my bank teller, and her son, Walker, met with me at the Cheraw State Park. Walker seems to like the camera. i think we are going to have to do this again. thank you Grayson and Walker for allowing me to capture these few moments.

a dragonfly found its way into our house. luckily, Chris rescued it before he kids could get to it. she removed it from the window and took it outside to let it fly away. as you can see, she had been doing a little painting earlier that day. i think the added color made for a better image. are dragonflies attracted to paint ?

last week as i was traveling on back country roads, i ran into a group of people doing something familiar. the Pee Dee Pedal Pack was on the move once again. of course, there were riders ahead of and behind this pack, but those riders weren’t as good looking.

congratulations to the Cheraw High Class of ‘07! not only were you able to endure all that schooling, you also have been chosen as my first official post to this blog. in some ways, you urged the need for me to set the blog up. since this past Saturday, several people have asked how they could see some of the photos i took for the ceremony. well, here they are. enjoy.
